Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actress and producer. She has been recognized for her stellar roles in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano, and The Incredibles. She has won numerous awards for her work which includes an Oscar. She started her career as an actor on Broadway and Off Broadway. Passionate about acting since the time she was in school, she portrayed Helen Keller in a play during the 5th grade. As a result of having mumps, she became deaf in one of the sides the ear. However, this didn't stop her from pursuing her dream to pursue a career as an actress. She was a drama major at the college after which she moved from Pittsburgh to New York City to follow her goals. Hunter made her Broadway debut due to a chance meeting in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. When she moved to Los Angeles she tried to find film roles, and was able to secure the role of a co-star in Swing Shift. Her work spans over 30 years and she's appeared in a variety of TV films or series, as well as films. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
